It’s no surprise that from then on, Vans was always associated with the skate sport. After opening this first park, Vans also opened skate parks in New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, and Colorado. At the same time, Vans sponsored sporting events such as skate and snowboard competitions, motocross, and surfing.
